Alongside the presentation of the new Fried publication the Literaturhaus will show 40 mostly unpublished letters from the extensive literary remains of Fried; amongst others, letters from Heinrich Mann, Paul Celan and Jean Améry to Fried, as well as from Fried to Elias Canetti, Heinrich Böll and Ilse Aichinger.

The exhibition is curated by the literary scholar Volker Kaukoreit.

In co-operation with the Documentation Centre for Contemporary Austrian Literature / Archive, Wienbibliothek, as well as private lenders.
