Born 1982 in St. Pölten, Austria. After completing university, working, and living in Oran and Marseille, she now lives in Vienna and works as a freelance writer, dramaturgist, lecturer, and editor.
She had Masters’ degrees in theories of archives and memory. Designed and created the Viennese Soundspaziergänge, literary sound walks through the city. She is an editor of the political literary journal PS–Politisch Schrieben and a member of the paper theater collective Zunder. Schörkhuber was awarded the Exil-Literaturpreis in 2013, the Theodor Körner Prize in 2013 and the author@musil residency at the University of Klagenfurt in 2020.
